Longitudinal Shoe Study: TekScan Mat Scanner Data VanderplasSusan CarriquiryAlicia KruseJames Basulto-EliasGuillermo RenfroStacy 2019 Images, CSV files, Video, and CSV-like video frame records of 160 participants on a pressure-sensing mat. Data were recorded with and without the participant wearing shoes (“Nike Winflo 4” or “Adidas Seeley”; 4 sizes each) in the study. The files also include associated measurements and data about shoe wear, surfaces, and wearers.

The pressure scan data is only available for the initial time-point, that is, for shoes that are brand new.

The images are accompanied by 3 CSV files describing the shoes, visit (information collected from surveys along with the shoes), and individual images. The codebooks contain descriptions of the variables in each of the CSV files as well as a more extensive description of the Method_Image_Replicate coding outlined in the README.

These files may be used to supplement analysis of the shoe print data over time; we expect that there will be some correspondance between wear pattern development and the distribution of pressure on the foot and shoe sole as the participant walks across the mat.
